Kyla was featured in the City Bureau Annual Report, highlighting her leadership in shaping a storytelling-centered approach to digital equity through partnership on the IMPACT Small Grants Program. Through this work, 14 grantees produced over 189 digital inclusion stories highlighting community impact across Cook County.

What began as Kyla’s idea connect storytelling and digital equity became IMPACT Small Grants Program through a partnership with City Bureau. The program supports community organizations sharing stories deepen understanding digital divide and center community voices.

In this SHLB blog, Cook County libraries are reimagined as digital navigators, expanding access to digital skills.
